Home Page, site explanation

  • Aaaaand this is me on top of Chirripo, Costa Rica! Btw, this picture from chirripo is from 2007, 3.5MP sony camera.
  • However, for all the High Res images on this site, you need to have patience with loading time…

So, I have another camera which is quite good and I have been posting pictures on facebook. However, I was getting very tired of myself and other people posting their photographs thinking it would show how good the pictures are…when the photos on fb and other media are ALWAYS downscaled to 2 megapix (A fraction of the cameras resolution)…it does not matter if you have a 100 mp camera…it is still downsized to 2 mp (1/50th of the quality). to show the difference see below examples. First is the original picture, then follows a zoom of the original and then a zoom of the picture uploaded on facebook. And to add more…looking at these photos on a 4k computer screen REALLY spots the difference. Look at the leaves in the first photo example and the house details on the second example

When you enter into the various albums on this site you have the disadvantage, and the reason why fb is downsizing all your pictures (since the photos here are 5-10 times the file-size)…it will also take this time to load the photos onto your display. But…if you are interested in seeing the original pictures, well then you need patience…and if you are paying a dataplan by the GB, then you would have to watch out for this also.
